Cara Kluver is an American actress, writer, and model.

Born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Kluver is the oldest of three daughters born to lawyer parents, and has Norwegian, German, Scottish, and Turkish ancestry. Kluver loved performing from a young age, taking dance, singing, and acting classes at the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre. After being cast in the role of Imogene Herdman in the play The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, she knew she had found her lifelong passion.

Through her teen years, Kluver acted in many school productions and gained representation for modeling and acting work in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the renowned Stagedoor Manor in the Catskill Mountains in New York, where stars such as Natalie Portman, Robert Downey Jr., Mandy Moore, and Sebastian Stan attended as children. There, she took classes in dance, singing, acting, stage combat, stage makeup, scene study, and more, and performed in the musical Children of Eden.

Kluver attended Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, earning a BFA in Theatre Performance and Minor in Sociology. Following her graduation, she worked in various theatrical productions in the Twin Cities before moving to Los Angeles, California to pursue her interest in film and television. Since coming to LA, she has become an experienced Creature Performer, with roles in Bright, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Captain Marvel, and The Orville. She has also appeared as more recognizably human characters in Mary + Jane, The Fosters, and Full Method.

Since childhood, Kluver has been a compulsive mimic, acquiring and developing countless character voices, accents, and impressions throughout her life. Some of her favorites include the voices she has created for all of her cats (which she does use to have conversations with them), and she loves doing voice over and audiobook work.

In addition to acting, Kluver is a skilled writer, having written and produced several of her own works (Drama School, Psychic, As Prescribed) and has worked as a commissioned writer for various screenplays and teleplays. She also writes short stories, one acts, plays, and has even written a steamy choose-your-own-adventure style novella for an erotica website.

In her spare time, Kluver enjoys reading, learning languages (she is currently studying Spanish, Norwegian, and Japanese), spending time with friends and family (her three cats included), horseback riding, tabletop gaming, video games, and painting.
